Pardon me while I have a Strange Interlude…
Hello everyone!
We made it through the winter and spring (and now summer!) are finally finally here!!!
Over the course of this year’s long winter we have been hard at work preparing a variety of programs and performances that we’ve very excited to be sharing with the world in the coming weeks and months.
The next few weeks marks the culmination of our “Berio Project” which has been a series of rehearsals and performances of Luciano Berio’s “Folk Songs.” We’re playing these works as part of our mixed-instrumentation chamber ensemble Strange Interlude, which is dedicated to playing great music in unusual places. Interested in hearing some Berio? (You should be – the music is unbelievably gorgeous!) Catch us at the Salem Arts Festival this weekend on Sunday June 7th, at Spectrum NYC in New York City on June 14th and at Clarendon Hill Presbyterian Church in Somerville on June 19th!
We are also always working on Strange Interlude programs for cello and harp and are really looking forward to sharing some of that music with you all. We’ll be at the Salem Farmer’s Market on July 9th and if you’re in or around Beverly, MA today (Thursday June 4th) between 11:45 and 12:45 stop by the Cummings Center – we’ll be playing a lunchtime concert in the lobby of 500 Cummings Center.
We’re also thrilled to announce that we’ll be playing a program of works for harp and cello as part of the Candlelight Concert Series at Old Ship Church in Hingham, MA on November 8th, 2015.
As always we’ll keep updating our concert listings as new and exciting things arise. For additional info about any of the above concerts (and to see new listings!) check here:

Also, if you’re interested in more information about Strange Interlude and our projects as an ensemble please feel free to check out the Strange Interlude page on our websites. The page is still fairly new but stay tuned for more useful, fascinating and vital information to come
Enjoy the sunshine all – we look forward to seeing your lovely faces soon!
Happy listening,
Lily & Simon
